Legal Billing Specialist

Boston, MA Seaport- ONSITE REQUIRED

Monday- Friday

$65k-75k/yearly commensurate with experience

Our full-service legal client based in Boston's Seaport is seeking an entry level Billing specialist to join their Finance team. This role will prepare client bills, ensure billing accuracy, and assisting with the resolution of any billing-related issues.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Finance or related field required.
  • 2-4 years Billing experience required
  • 1-2 years billing experience professional services or law firm environment required
  • Excellent math skills and solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to perform accurate and consistent calculations for accounting and spreadsheet tasks.
  • Professional interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and positive interaction at all organizational levels.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a "can-do" approach.
  • Flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes and occasional overtime needs.

Responsibilities

  • Review, prepare, and finalize client bills in accordance with attorney and client instructions.
  • Verify daily billing production for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare time and billing reports using internal database systems.
  • Generate and distribute pre-bills and billing-related reports; produce ad hoc reports upon request.
  • Provide support and training to professionals using billing tools such as ExpertImage, iTimekeep, and PrebillManager.
  • Learn and utilize various third-party billing platforms as needed.
